a
natural
mineral
which
expands
under
extreme
heat
with
a
golden
color
that
resembles
mica. The
expanded
vermiculite
mineral
can
soak
up
over
three
times
its
volume
in
water
and
is
a
natural
'wicking'
mineral,
meaning
it
acts
as
a
magnet
for
nutrients
like
potassium,
calcium
and
magnesium. Because
of
this,
it
can
be
very
useful
in
a
passive
hydroponics
system
that
does
not
utilize
pumps
or
other
devices
to
force
the
nutrient
solution
to
flow.
Add Mica-Grow Vermiculite to your soil to improve aeration and provide excellent moisture retention. Because of its superior water retention it is perfect for starting seeds and rooting cuttings.
