Perlite is clean, sterile, pH neutral, non-flammable, odorless, nontoxic and neither decays nor shrinks – even pests such as insects and fungi can’t destroy it.

While perlite is known for its value in horticulture for providing a balance of air and water for plants in soils and hydroponics it is commonly used in construction and industrial applications valued for it’s light weight, high adsorption, fireproof, chemically inert characteristics. Perlite can be found in many products including cements, tooth paste, cosmetics, kitty litter, paints and plasters, insulation, water, air and chemical filtration processes.
